Robert W S Hulland, AR/VR Developer, 3D artist and Proffessor
Robert Hulland, originally from Pontypridd, South Wales, is a Developer and Digital Artist currently based in Paris, France. With a background in game design, having studied Game Design at PCAD Plymouth and Indy Game Development at Falmouth University, he specializes in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies, aiming to seamlessly merge reality with the digital world. He crafts immersive virtual experiences that are inclusive and interactive, leveraging his expertise to bridge the gap between the physical and virtual realms.
With a collaborative approach, Robert works alongside visual artists, translating their concepts into digital works. Noteworthy projects include collaborations with the Grand Paris Metro's VR initiative and Villa Medicis in Rome, as well as exhibitions at FRAC île de France. He has also created augmented reality projects for Elizabeth de Portzamparc, Echangeur 22 and la Biennale Panoramas Nuit Verte. He also engaged in collective ventures such as the Void project with the Arthlete collective and the Doublage project with Mona Young-eun Kim.

Beyond his individual projects, Robert shares his expertise as a Professor at the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design Reims and in XR workshops with CAC Bretigny, Palais des Beaux-Arts Paris and Heart Street collective, where he introduces students to new technologies and encourages their exploration in the artistic domain. This commitment to education aligns with his ongoing efforts to push the boundaries of XR experiences in contemporary art.
